Connecting to Google Sheets
Sync response data to Google Sheets in real time. Every time a response is submitted, a new row is automatically added to the sheet you've connected — no manual downloads required.
How to Connect
Go to the Automation tab
In the project editor, open the 'Automation' tab.
Click Connect
Under 'Google Sheets', click Connect.
Sign in with Google
Click the Sign in with Google button and log in with your Google account.
- All Google accounts available in this workspace will be shown.
- You can pick an existing account or sign in with a new one.
Choose a spreadsheet
Choose whether to connect to an existing sheet or create a new one.
Sheet created
Once connected, Walla automatically creates a Google Sheet (owned by you and saved to your Drive). You can copy the sheet's link to open it.
Disconnect (if needed)
To disconnect, simply click the Disconnect button.
How It Works
- When a new response is submitted, each response field is automatically mapped to a column in the sheet.
- Data syncs in real time, so you can see responses immediately without any manual export.
Warning
The connected Google account must have edit access to the sheet. If the sheet is shared, make sure it has edit access as well.
Warning
Columns with data masking enabled remain encrypted in the connected Google Sheet as well. (See columns E and F in the example image.)
