Inviting Team MembersPro

Invite new members by email and manage pending invitations from your team settings.

Sending Invitations by Email

Open Team Settings

Click the team name in the top menu, go to Team Settings, and open the Team Members tab.

Enter Email Addresses

In the invite area at the top of the screen, enter the new member's email address. You can enter multiple emails at once to invite several people in a single batch.

Click Invite

Click Invite and an invitation email is sent to each address you entered.

You can change roles later

The role chosen at invitation time can be updated anytime from the Team Members tab once the person joins. For a full breakdown of roles and permissions, see the Managing Your Team page.

On the Team Members page, click the Create Invite Link button to generate a new link.

Click the copy icon next to the generated link, then send it to anyone you want to add. By default, the link is valid for 7 days.

Change the Expiry

Click the Change Expiry button to the right of the link to set a new remaining lifetime in hours.

Confirm the Updated Expiry

The expiry updates immediately based on the value you set, and the new expiration time is shown below the link.

When the link is no longer needed, click the trash icon to delete it. The link becomes invalid right away, but members who already joined remain on the team.

Checking and Managing Invitations

  • Invitations that haven't been accepted yet appear in the member list of the Team Members tab with a Pending status.
  • The menu next to each pending invitation lets you:
    • Copy link: If the invitation email never arrived or has expired, copy the invite link and send it directly.
    • Cancel invitation: Immediately expire an invitation that was sent by mistake or is no longer needed.

Note

Cancelling an invitation does not recall the email itself, but the cancelled link will no longer work.

How the Invitee Accepts

Check and accept the invitation email

The invitation email includes the team name, the inviter, and an accept button. Clicking Go to team invitation in the email opens the Walla sign-up/sign-in screen.

Team invitation complete

Once they sign in to Walla, the team invitation is complete.

Note

If you want to edit projects together with a teammate, you have to invite them to the team and then to the workspace as well. If the 'invite to team → invite to workspace' flow feels cumbersome, you can also invite them directly from the workspace.
