Tracking (Hidden Fields)Pro
Tracking lets you see how respondents found your survey. It's useful when you want to separate responses by ad channel, customer group, or any other criteria.
Adding a Tracking Item (Hidden Field)
Open the tracking management page
On the Share page, click the Manage button.
Enter a tracking item
Type a tracking name (hidden field name), then press Enter to register it.
Save
Click the Save button to save your changes.
Put it to use
A registered hidden field works as a "category for distinguishing where traffic came from."
- ① To track traffic by SNS → set the hidden field name to
SNS(e.g., Instagram, YouTube, etc.) - ② To separate customer groups → set the hidden field name to
customer
Creating a Hidden Field URL
Once you've added a hidden field, you need to attach it directly to your survey link (URL).
Prepare the base survey URL

Append it in the format ?fieldName=.
https://walla.my/v/QA9S0i0UfZn5rZTfSbd4?source=Add the field value
Example: traffic coming from YouTube
https://walla.my/v/QA9S0i0UfZn5rZTfSbd4?source=youtubeShare a link per channel
Share each link on its own channel, and you'll be able to see the traffic source (e.g., YouTube, Instagram) in the response sheet.
Using Multiple Hidden Fields
- To add more than one hidden field to a URL, join them with
&instead of another?.
https://walla.my/v/QA9S0i0UfZn5rZTfSbd4?source=instagram&media=video→ This means the traffic came from an Instagram video ad.
Warning
- You must press Enter when registering a tracking item for it to be saved.
- We recommend using only letters, numbers, and underscores (_) for hidden field names.
