Importing from Google Forms

Bring a survey you built in Google Forms into Walla and use it as is.

Importing a Google Forms survey

Click the Create Project button

On the workspace screen, click the Create Project button.

Select Import from Google Forms

Choose Import from Google Forms.

Paste the Google Forms respondent link (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/...) into the input box and click the Import button.

Before you import

In Google Forms, go to Settings → Responses and turn off any sub-options that require sign-in. Section headers are imported as Walla description fields.

What can't be imported

  • Background images and question images set in Google Forms
  • File upload questions configured in Google Forms

Done

A new project is created from the Google Forms link you entered.

Collecting responses in Google Forms

  • Selecting Collect responses in Google Forms creates a custom automation.
  • Responses submitted to Walla are also submitted to Google Forms. This automation is one-time only: if you edit and republish the survey in either Google Forms or Walla, the automation stops from that point on and responses will no longer reach Google Forms.
  • We recommend finishing all survey edits in Google Forms before importing into Walla.
  • Responses that include an "Other (write in)" answer on a multiple choice or checkbox question cannot be forwarded.

Creating a New Project

You can create a new project by clicking the '+' button in your workspace.
