Rejection Field
The rejection field ends the survey without collecting a response when specific conditions are met. Use it to efficiently filter respondents and control your survey flow.
How Rejection Fields Work
- When a rejection field is shown, the response is not saved.
- Useful for filtering out respondents who don't qualify.
- e.g., people outside your target audience, responses after the deadline, etc.
Where to Place It
- We recommend placing it at the very end of the survey.
- In Standard View, all questions appear on a single page, so a rejection field placed in the middle can immediately end the survey as soon as the page loads.
- In Grouped View, placing it at the very beginning can reject respondents right when they start.
- It's a good idea to add a
page breakbefore a rejection field.
Examples
Example 1. Filtering respondents by age
- Condition:
Age questionis notTeens - Go to:
Rejection field - Result: If the respondent is not a teenager, the survey ends immediately.
Example 2. Using it as a "survey closed" notice
- If you want to show a custom closing message instead of the default end page when the survey is closed, move the rejection field to the very first question.
- Example: "This survey has ended."
Warning
- Don't confuse rejection fields with ending fields.
- Ending field: Shown "after" submission, leads to a message or URL
- Rejection field: Ends the survey "during" the response — no data is recorded
- Rejected responses can never be viewed or recovered, so review your conditions carefully.
Payment Brokerage Field
Configure products and prices so respondents can pay directly in a form, then manage transactions and settlements.
Ending Field
The ending field is the final screen shown after a response is submitted. You can freely design the page displayed at the end of the survey, or set it to redirect respondents to a specific website.
