Response Validation
Response validation ensures respondents can only continue when their input meets the conditions you've set. You can configure different validation rules for each field type.
Validation Rules
| Rule | Description |
|---|---|
| Required | The respondent must answer. |
| Response length | Set a minimum and/or maximum character count. |
| Response include | Show an error if specific text is not included. |
| Response exclude | Show an error if specific text is included. |
| Number range | Set an allowed minimum and maximum value. |
| Selection count | Set a minimum, maximum, or exact number of selections. |
| Include options | The response must include specific options. |
| Exclude options | The response must not include specific options. |
| Per-option response limit | Cap how many times an option can be chosen across all responses. Useful for first-come-first-served sign-ups, seat or quantity limits, and more. |
| Regular expression (Regex) | Define your own pattern for fine-grained format validation. |
Regex examples
- English letters only:
^[A-Za-z]+$ - URL format:
^(https?:\/\/)?([\w-]+\.)+[\w-]+(\/[\w-./?%&=]*)?$ - Korean resident registration number (with hyphen):
^\d{6}-\d{7}$ - Postal code (5 digits):
^\d{5}$
Caution when collecting resident registration numbers
There are legal restrictions on collecting real resident registration numbers. Be sure to enable data masking and auto-delete responses.
Ending Field
The ending field is the final screen shown after a response is submitted. You can freely design the page displayed at the end of the survey, or set it to redirect respondents to a specific website.
Adding or Deleting Fields
On the project edit screen, you can add, delete, or duplicate fields to build your survey. Freely adjust field positions and structure to manage your survey more easily.
